A chocolate brownie, peanut butter cookie combo with chocolate and peanut butter chips thrown in for a double dose of delicious.
I don’t like chocolate and peanut butter together—said no one, ever. Chocolate—great. Peanut butter—delicious. Together—possibly the best sweet treat power-couple of all time.
Just look how gooey and fudgy and peanut buttery these double decker brownies are.
These are so quick and easy—1 roll of cookie dough + one brownie mix + 2 kinds of chips = chocolate peanut butter cookie brownie nirvana.
Talk about a huge flavor pay off for just a minimal amount of effort!!!
Start by lightly, very lightly spraying a 9 x 13 inch pan with cooking spray. Then press the cookie dough in the bottom.
It helps to let the dough sit out and soften for 5-10 minutes. Try to get it as even as you can without making yourself crazy.
Next, sprinkle the chocolate chips over the cookie dough. I used milk chocolate, you use what you like best; dark, semi-sweet, even white chocolate.
Lightly press them into the dough to keep them from moving around when you put the brownie layer over the top.
Mix the brownie batter according to the instructions on the box.
Then stir in the peanut butter chips.
And spread it evenly over the cookie layer. I put big dollops down the middle and spread it around.
Bake it 35-40 minutes. A toothpick inserted into the middle should come back clean or with a few moist crumbs.
And now for the hardest part, they have to cool completely in the pan before you can cut them. Unless you want to eat them straight out of the pan with a spoon. I don’t judge.
Cut them into 4 rows by 6 rows to get 24 brownies.
