Apple Ale Beer Brats for a Crowd
Juicy brats browned on the grill and soaked in a hot tub of apple ale and onions. Perfect for summer parties and easy to make-ahead.
(19 ounce) package
(such as Johnsonville)
(12 ounce) bottles
(such as Redd's)
onions, cut into large chunks
water to cover
Grill brats 3-5 minutes on each side or until browned. Pierce each brat one or two times with a fork. Transfer to large pot. Add onions, beer, and enough water to cover brats.
Bring to a boil over high heat, then lower to a simmer.
Simmer for 10-15 minutes or until cooked through. Serve immediately or turn heat to low until ready to serve.
These brats freeze easily.
